"description": "This is a fill-in template for an academic reading list: the list and what it is for, the papers on it and your notes on each, their authors and institutions, the journals and conferences that published them and the topics they cover. The nodes around this one are samples, one of each type. Edit them, or replace them with your own.\n\nHow to add your own node:\n1) Right-click the empty canvas where the node should go and choose Create node here. Shortcut: Cmd/Ctrl-click the empty canvas.\n2) In Add new node, enter a unique ID, a Name and a Description, and pick a Type from the list below. The ID cannot be changed later.\n3) Fill in the fields that appear for that type, then confirm. Drag the new node next to the nodes it belongs with.\n4) To link two nodes, Cmd/Ctrl-click the first node, then the second. In Add new link, enter a short name such as \"is about\" in Name1. Add Name2 if it reads differently from the other side, such as \"is covered in\". Set Direction 0 (no arrow), like the sample links, and confirm.\n5) Click Save in the top toolbar after each change and keep the address it shows. A reload loses anything not saved.\n\nTypes in this template:\n- Reading list: the list itself and the question it helps you answer.\n- Reading entry: your note on one paper in the list: how far you are, how much it matters and what you took from it.\n- Paper: an article, preprint, conference paper or book chapter, with its abstract in the description.\n- Author: a person who wrote a paper.\n- Institution: a university, institute, company or agency an author works for.\n- Venue: the journal, conference or repository that published a paper.\n- Topic: a research subject that papers address.\n\nEvery date (YYYY-MM-DD) and every number needs a value; text and list fields may stay empty. Write the DOI without the https://doi.org/ part (10.5555/...). Citations are counted on the As of date and differ between sources such as OpenAlex and Crossref, so keep to one. Status is To read, Reading or Read; Priority runs from 1 (read first) to 3; Key finding is one short sentence. Paper kind is Article, Preprint, Conference paper, Book chapter or Dataset; Open access is Gold, Green, Hybrid, Bronze or Closed. Institution Kind is Education, Company, Government, Nonprofit or Facility; Venue Kind is Journal, Conference or Repository. Link a paper to the papers it cites.\n\nDelete a sample only once one of your own nodes has its type: a type that no node uses is dropped at Save.",

"description": "The study placed temperature loggers on forty pairs of residential streets in one mid-sized city, matched for building height and width but differing in tree cover. Over a summer with two heat waves, streets with dense canopy were on average 1.4 degrees cooler at night and up to 2.1 degrees cooler on the hottest nights. The authors conclude that trees help most after sunset, when shaded paving and walls give back less stored heat.",
