Substack Post
Know which post made which point, and what backed it up.
Import it, swap the sample for your own posts and link every key idea to its source.
How to extend it
-
Make your own copy
Click Download JSON at the bottom of this page. On the MindShare home screen, drop the file into Upload the file, then click Save and keep the address it opens. Open graph only shows our copy.
-
Read Start here
Click the star. It says what each type is for and which fields need a value.
-
Turn the publication into yours
Click The Slow Commute and change its name, description and address to your newsletter, or one you read.
-
Add your next post
Ctrl/Cmd-click the empty canvas, enter a unique ID (it can't be changed later), a name and the type Post. Fill in its fields: every date and number needs a value.
-
Link it
Ctrl/Cmd-click the publication, then the new post, and name the link, for example is published in. Set Direction 0.
-
Add the sources and key ideas
For each article or dataset a post cites, add a Source. For each claim worth keeping, add a Key idea in your own words and link it to its post and to the source that backs it.
-
Or let your AI assistant fill it in
Give the JSON file and your posts or reading notes to the AI assistant you already use. Ask it to add your items in the same format as the samples, then import the result on the home screen.
-
Delete the samples and save
Once each type has one of your own nodes, delete the sample post and its neighbours. A type no node uses is dropped when you save. Click Save after every change.
